I, however, can clearly remember watching those shows with no desire to go to Space Camp. I never imagined that (26 years later) I would be on my way to Huntsville, Alabama to spend a weekend at Adult Space Academy. A bachelor party for my oldest friend who happens to be a Space Camp veteran and actual rocket scientist.Getting the Right Stuff Before I could act like an astronaut, I had to train like an astronaut.Linens are provided in the Habitat for this program Arrival Window: Friday, a.m. These will NOT get you laid, they will NOT get you sex, and they MIGHT get you slapped. If you’re still talking online, expect to never hear from her again. Also, on the far right you can see our team leader, Boogie.
Adult Space Academy® is an adventurous, two-night experience allowing trainees to assume roles in hands-on, interactive space missions and learn what it takes to be an astronaut.
Training primarily involved two key pieces of equipment: the 1/6th gravity chair and the multi-axis trainer (turns out "that spinny thing" has a name).
The 1/6th gravity chair simulates gravity on the moon and is basically the most fun ever.
I attended Space Camp for Adults and found it surprisingly interesting.
I expected a lot of silly kid-age stuff, but it was all appropriate for adults of any age.
